“Hello, I’m Randy Evans, the U.S. Ambassador to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. While COVID-19 continues to make international travel challenging for all of us throughout the world, the U.S. Embassy in Luxembourg has been committed to continually provide every American citizen and every person desiring travel to or from the United States with the latest and most reliable information to keep everyone informed.
Due to the conditions in both countries and the efforts to contain and defeat the Coronavirus, the United States is not currently on the approved list of countries whose citizens can travel into Luxembourg. These restrictions are for everyone’s protection.
There are some exceptions provided for certain classes of travelers. These exceptions allow the respective governments to provide some relief in unique circumstances to permit travel without jeopardizing the overall health and safety of either country’s population.
Visit our website at www.lu.usembassy.gov – you can see it on the screen, or you can just use your search engine to find our website and then find this important information. It is the best resource you can use to learn more, and find up-to-date country-specific information on travel and health restrictions, as well as local resources to help you as you plan your travel, or return, to Luxembourg.
Make no mistake, we are going to get through this – working together and being disciplined. But we must be smart and well informed. Our Embassy is committed to making sure everyone can easily do both. Merci.”
