As Martin Luther King, Jr. said: “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” I have long believed that justice brings light so that we can defeat darkness, creating a reliably brighter and better future.
Our President is fully committed that, “for George and his family, justice will be served. He will not have died in vain,” and has rightly directed the Department of Justice to expedite the Federal investigation into Mr. Floyd’s death.
