The work of the Ambassador and the U.S. Embassy is not only with governments; it also includes engagement with people in Luxembourg and Americans living overseas to enhance the image of the United States, promote American business interests, and much more.

In the links throughout our website, you will find information on Embassy outreach to communities throughout Luxembourg, promotion of U.S. business interests, and news of special events.   Finally, you will find general information about the U.S. Embassy, including key officials, holidays, and job opportunities.

The U.S. Embassy in Luxembourg conducts diplomatic relations with the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and coordinates the activities of U.S. Government personnel serving in Luxembourg as well as official visitors. Bilateral cooperation includes cultural, political, economic, commercial, security, and educational activities. The Embassy also provides consular services, including visas for visitors to the United States and passports for United States citizens in Luxembourg.

The U.S. Embassy Luxembourg conducts outreach in four main areas. Cultural outreach includes American culture, celebrations, and holidays as well as outreach to local community organizations. The Embassy reaches out to all local and American businesses in Luxembourg. Luxembourg commemorates WWII and other events throughout the year and the U.S. Embassy is proud to participate in these events. Education outreach is the main component of the Ambassador and Embassy’s work, we visit schools, speak to classes and advise students about their options to study in the USA.
