In response to significant worldwide challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of State has temporarily suspended routine visa services at all U.S. Embassies and Consulates. The U.S. Embassy in Luxembourg will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but we are unable to provide a specific date at this time. Only those visa classes listed as potential exemptions in the Presidential Proclamation issued on March 15 may qualify for an expedited appointment. Read more about the exemptions here.
If you have an unforeseen travel need as per one of the criteria listed below, you may qualify for an expedited appointment at the U.S. Embassy, depending on availability. You must provide evidence to prove the urgency of your request.

Please email your request, scheduled appointment date, planned departure date and evidence (essential documentation as listed below) to Luxembourgconsular@state.gov .
